Guardian FIM (File Integrity Monitor)

Aug. 2025 - Present

  • Designed and engineered a complete File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) system, a host-based intrusion detection (HIDS) tool, using object-oriented Python.
  • Architected the system to use an SQLite database for storing file-system baselines, tracking all change history, and performing high-speed integrity checks using SHA256 hashes.
  • Implemented a modular, configuration-driven design with features like file exclusions, comprehensive logging, and multi-format report generation (Console, JSON, HTML).
